Well the sun is setting on the current ancient Beasts of Chaos book, my Beasts have been sitting on the shelf since the split with Mortals and I love my Beast models. So I thought I would call one last gathering of the Herd for their final call into the night before the winds of change settles on the Herds for a bright and glorious future of victory and bloodshed [we can hope!].
I will be running a Khorne List and a Slaanesh list as I have 2 cool Doombull models, one of each. Here is the list I will be using first, the Slaanesh one;
Doombull; Heavy Armour, Slaughterers Blade, Slaanesh. Bray Shaman; Stone, Scroll, Staff, Lvl2, Slaanesh. Bray Shaman; Stone, Scroll, Staff, Lvl2, Slaanesh. Bray Shaman; Stone, Staff of Darkoth, Lvl2, Slaanesh.
11 Gors + 9 Ungors; FC, Additional Hand Weps. 16 Bestigors; FC, Vitriolic Totem. Slaanesh. 6 Hounds; 6 Hounds; Chariot; Slaanesh. 3 Minos; Standard, Slaanesh, Great Weps. 4 Minos; Standard, Slaanesh, Great Weps. Slaanesh Spawn; Slaanesh Spawn; Slaanesh Spawn;
My first game is going to be a real trail by fire against Khorne Daemons.
Thirster; Armour, Fury, Firestorm. Skulltaker; Jugger. Herald of Khorne; Jugger, BSB, Firestorm, Armour, Standard of Victory [+D3] Herald of Slaanesh; Siren Song
14 Letters; Standard, Champ. 14 Letters; Standard, Champ. 10 Letters;
6 Hounds; 6 Hounds;
Pre Game Thoughts; Well it would be a Mono Khorne list but for that Siren Song Herald to bring characters to his Skulltaker. This would be a tough game but at least I had free rain with my magic, unfortunatly I didnt get delusions. I got all 3 shamans with the magic missile, 1 with the Frenzy Spell, one with the spell that doesnt work against ITP and one with the Unbreakable spell.
I would have to use my Staff of Darkoth to get the jump on the Thirster, by Bestigors would be ideal for the job, If I get Frenzy on them they will do 8 poison attacks, they should do 2 wounds, lose 5 models, win by 1 and make him take a test on an 8. I can also make them unbreakable for when they start losing in order to bring some Minos into the Fray, I would use Spawn to try to hold up his Hounds with the support of a Chariot. The other Hounds I would maybe try to take out with my Lords Mino unit.
The mighty Doombull Salacious rose his enourmous bull like head into the still night air, breathing deepling the saccharine scent of the rituals underway, the air filled with looted perfumes and inscence, the screams of his captives slowly burning alive before his monolithic herdstone more sweet scent to his flaring nostrils.
Just a few cycles of the moon before, he had been a solitary guardian of an ancient shrine, deep within the dark heart of the Drakwald. The first stirrings of this now mighty herd had come to him, their powerful beastlord braving the trails of his temple shrine for the blessing of the Dark Prince, but the Beastlord had failed. The shrines ancient Doombull had cut down the Beastlord with contemptous ease infront of its herd, chowing down great chunks of his flesh before them.
The Herds Bray Shamans began to whisper something in awe, as he devoured the beastlord, sweetly flavoured by the perfumes it wore, dedications to the Prince of Pleasure. They whispered, that he was the one they had witnessed on their dream walks, they had found 'The Salacious One'. The Herd began to take up the chant.
'Salacious! Salacious! Salacious!'
He had become their Lord, the path Slaanesh had chose for him clear.
Now his work was close to completion, he had crushed many of the villages that lived perilously in the deeps of the Drakwald. His vile massacres, inflicting the most perverse torments on his captives. The Gods were watching him and now, before his greatest work, his dark monolith, he would summon forth a legion of Daemons with his sacrifices. a Legion that would add to his growing herd, enough power to sweep out of the dark woods, the power to take the fight to man where they thought they were safe, in the rolling fields, under their bright sun.
The screams were reaching an ecstatic crescendo, blood flowing in crudley carved channels towards the base of the monolith.
With a harsh snap, reality was broken, the sounds of the chanting and screaming faded in his ears. His nose began to bleed, blood dripping freely from the massive golden ring through his nose.
He was not greeted by the calling signs of his Lord of Pleasure. The sweet scents of roasted flesh and narcotic perfumes were overwhelmed with the smell of sulpher, the clouds of brightly coloured gases his shamans had summoned instead burst into cloudes of flames.
Salacious looked around anxiously, but his herd were transfixed, sensing nothing amiss. With a mighty warp spawned scream a massive figure emerged from the monolith, walking from the solid rock as though it were water. Its enormous shape wreathed in shadow. His herd held its breath, a fabled Keeper of Secrets had arrived!.
With a roar the monster reared back, and to Salacious' horror, a pair of wings unfurled behind it. With its daemon forged whip it struck his monolith. causing it to crack and splinter as it burst into flames. Those flames driving back the shadows that wreathed the beast, revealing to the whole herd its true nature.
The rituals had brought the attention of the wrong god, the blood and sacrifice bringing forth the minions of the most powerful of the pantheon, for this was no elegant Keeper of Secrets, this was an engine of pure destruction. A Bloodthirster of Khorne! and behind it, marching through the cracks in the blazing monolith, marched legions of Khornes footsoldiers.
Early Game; He goes first, his army moves up with his Hounds down the flank.
In my turn I blast a wound off the Thirster with magic missiles, I then use my Staff and a Power Stone to charge it with my Bestigors. My Hounds charge his hounds on my right hoping to make him over run and leave his flank to my Lords Minos and on the other flank I hem in his Hounds with mine with a Spawn ready to get the jump next turn. I do fail to cast my Frenzy spell on 3 dice though, only needing a 7. So I make the unit unbreakable just in case.
So the Bestigors only get 4 attacks but they manage to do a wound. I only do 1 wound, but I should still win[Musician] if he gets his average 5 kills, he kills 7 with 7 attacks.....I stay because I am unbreakable. My Hounds are killed he passes his restraint.
His Hounds charge my Spawn on both flanks. Both Spawn survive and do a bit of damage back. A unit of 10 Letters get my Bestigor flank who are then easily beat but are still unbreakable, his 2 dice not able to stop the 11 casting value.
He uses Siren Song in my turn to try to lure my Doombull and Minos to Skulltaker, so I also declare charges on that unit with my Herd and other Minos, I move those charges first so the Doombulls unit fails its charge . My Spawn on my left charges the flank of the Hounds fighting the Spawn. I then try to use my Staff to get my Lord and Minos into the flank of those Letters who have flanked my Bestigors, I miscast! I then also fail to cast my Frenzy spell on the Minos fighting Skulltaker and his unit.
My Bestigors start getting chopped down badly. My Spawn on my right dies. My 2 Spawn on my other flank do ok. In the big combat I dont roll too well and Skulltaker with his 6 attacks [4 for him, 2 for Jugger] does 6 wounds!...my Herd comes good though and with their few attacks manage a few wounds, combat is drawn, I win due to a musician, he loses nobody to instability.
Grinding Combat; His hounds on my right charge my Lords Mino unit. His BSB unit move to try to flank my Minos and Herd next turn. My Bestigors are almost wiped out. He kills my Spawn to his front on my left so turns to face the one that was in his flank but i do some damage back. In the big combat, Skulltaker does 5 wounds, the lone Bloodletter on that side of combat also wounds with his attack, killing all my Minos before they attack, this dooms the Herd, most of which are killed by the ASF Herald of Slaanesh and I am broken and ran down.
My Lords unit do great though and wipe out the Hounds that charge them.
Now we made a mistake, we forgot about Bloodgreed, over-run with the Lord and Minos into the flank of the Letters fighting in the combat with my Bestigors and Thirster, I do lots of damage, win the combat because of it [can fight as the combat hadnt started for that fight this turn yet] and the Thirster drops to 1 wound due to instability.
We then realise the mistake about Bloodgreed and have to move the Minos back but we arent sure where they were so now in my next turn we cant decide if the Minos could see the Thirster or not. We roll off, the dice decide they couldnt. So I am forced to just charge the flank of those Letters. His Bloodthirster finished my unit and Sorcerers in his turn once we realised the mistake so charging that Letter flank does not threaten the Thirster who is now back above half strength. He passes 5 out of 8 Wards though and I dont do enough to wipe out the small Letter unit.
My Chariot charges his Hounds on my left, I do enough damage to pop the unit with instability and my Spawn survives.
Closing Stages; My Lord and Minos again somehow fail to wipe out those Letters I flanked, leaving 1.
In the last few stages, my Lord and Minos are surrounded thanks to their inability against those Letters, charge by Skulltakers unit and the Thirster in th eflank. Skulltaker kills my Lord, Thirster and Letters wipe out all Minos before they even get to attack.
He then mops up my Dogs, Chariot and Spawn.
Result - Loss
Post Game Thoughts; A few things cost me that game I think, his Thirster constantly doing 7 wounds a turn, this meant my Bestigors didnt do as much damage to him as I should. Then miscasting to get my Lords Mino unit in early on the flank of that combat cost me another chance of killing that Thirster with Instability Tests.
I may have done better in the other big combat but like his Thirster, his Skulltaker AND his Jugger were hitting AND wounding with every single attack they had.
So all I killed was 2 Hound units and a unit of Letters for about 500 Points to his 2500, so a Massacre to him.
I was quite pleased with my list though, as even without Delusions I got the combat I wanted, just some hard luck meant it didnt work out. As if that Thirster had died my Minos and Lord would have been able to fight his Infantry blocks on much more even terms. So ny list had chances to win the game. Plus I really enjoyed using them.
Not sure what is next for the Beasts, might be Warriors of Chaos or a Black Knight heavy Vamps list.
His Bray Shamans had realised the danger and had quickly used their magic to spur his forces into action, the Daemons of Khorne had thought to have the element of suprise on their side but the tables were turned, the followers of the Dark Prince always one step ahead the slow witted butchers of Khorne.
His elite Bestigors had charged the mighty Bloodthirster itself with unnatural speed thanks to the spells of his Shamans, they had opened up huge wounds in the beast, with their great axes, each weapon dripping with hallucination inducing venoms.
Salacious, content that the Bloodthirster was contained, had butchered a score of Daemonic Hounds with his loyal Minatour bodyguard. Just as he chopped the second head from one of the visious Daemon dogs, he felt a mighty impact, one of his own minotaurs crashing into him. He glanced back to where the Bloodthirster was fighting his Bestigors, to see only a smoking pile of charred and ruined Bestigor bodies.
He panicked, surely nothing was that powerful. He turned to the screams to his right, his worst fears were confirmed, the Bloodthirster was hacking its way towards him, great minotaurs falling like children before it. Salacious hefted his axe, ready to face his doom head on, when he felt multiple stabs of pain in his side, a unit of Bloodletters led by a mighty champion had used the distraction to attack his exposed flank. Making space with a sweep of his massive axe he stepped back but it was too late, he had given the Bloodthirster its chance, with one beat of its immense wings it powered into him quicker then he thought was possible for such a massive foe .Its flaming axe cutting a great wound followed by a kick from one of its cloven hooves, sending him crashing to the outskirts of the battle, cast through the air as though he he weighed 20lbs.
Salacious began to crawl into the forest, his Herd already falling back in dissaray. He would have to rebuild, he would not let his dreams die.

I like your list, and I think you played them perfectly, or at least how they 'should' be played, if that makes sense. On bit of advice though.... bestigors aren't worth it. I have never ever seen them amount to anything. Grunt should help you with your list, as he's the best beast player I know (out of all....3.) It was a good report though and... I can't stand daemons because of how overpowered and underpriced their daemon princes are, but... IIRC you played them for awhile, so eat it Although I am kind of sure the minotaurs failed charge thing is illegal. Sure, you can move them when you want, but you have to do the charges if you can, so... I dunno.

Game 2 - Vs Vampire Counts - 2000 Points
My list remained unchanged.
His list was as follows;
Lord; Great Wep, 2+ Save, 4+ Ward, Infinate Hatred. Lvl4, Raise Skellies. Thrall; Lvl2, Raise Skellies, Book. Wight King; Barded Steed, Shield, Gem, Sword of Kings.
20 Skellies; FC 19 Skellies; FC 19 Skellies; FC
5 Black Knights; FC, Banner of +1 to Hit. 5 Wraiths; Varghulf;
Pre Game Thoughts; I deployed hounds on either flank, chariot and a spawn on my right, 2 spawn on my left, herd on my left, infantry and minos in the centre. He had Varghulf on my left, Knights on my right, Skellies in the centre with the Wraiths.
I got 2 Frenzy Spells, 2 Unbreakable Spells and 2 Magic Missiles from my Slaanesh Lore.
I would really struggle with those Wraiths, I had nothing to deal with them, I would also had nothing at all that could deal with his Lord. So I would have to avoid/neautralise those 2 units in order to get a win.
Early Game; He goes first and advances, staying out of my charge ranges. He raises some Skellies to his Lvl2's unit.
In my turn I advance cautiously, I block off his Varg with my Dogs and a Spawn. Chariot into the Knights. The Chariot gets 6 impact hits, killing 4 Knights, my Tuskgors and crew kill the last and the Wight King dies to combat res without doing me any wounds. Very lucky on my part.
His Varghulf hits my Spawn, I stop his Vanhals attempts. His Varghulf womps my Spawn and my Hounds meant to then contain it and redirect it panic and flee through my Herd but I pass their panic.
In my turn my Bestigors charge his Lvl2 and Skellies. My Minos with Lord charge his unit with No Character in, mainly to get out of his Lords charge arc. My other Minos charge his Varghulf. My Herd move behind the Varg/Mino combat, out of the Wraiths LOS. Chariot into the flank of the Bestigor combat. I also Frenzy the Minos fighting the Varg.
My Minos kill that Varg pretty easily. My Chariot gets 6 impact hits again but my Bestigors do pretty badly along with the 2 Bray Shamans whilst the Vamp killsmy Champ in a challenge, I win big but he still has a few Skellies left. My Lord and Minos take down the other unit to 4 Skellies.
Avatar of Death; The Wraiths charge my Minos that just killed his Varg, he raises up a load of Skellies back to his Lvl2's unit, I then shut down some Danses but I forget about the Book and it goes off, getting his Lord and Skellies in to the flank of those Minos.
My Minos are beaten easily and ran down. My Herd then also panics, getting very close to the board edge. I win that big combat again fairly easy whilst the Vamp challenges a Bray Shaman, doing it a wound. The whole unit dies to combat res but the Vamp remains. My Lord and unit finish off those other Skellies.
My Lord and Minos turn towards that Lvl2 Vamp combat. My Herd fail to rally and run off the board with one of my Bray Shamans. Despite that Vamp fighting a Chariot and a whole unit of Bestigors, because he does 3 wounds in that challenge he survives the combat res. My Shaman obviously dies.
His Wraiths finish off my Hounds that had rallied earlier, his Lords unit turns back towards the battle, I stop his Danse that would have got them into the rear of my Bestigors. That Vamp then finally dies to combat res.
Fading Into the Forest; My Minos and Lord turn towards his Cart, my Bestigors and Chariot moving away towards his board edge as I cant deal with his Wraiths or Lord. My unit of other Hounds hit the flank of his Lords unit. My Minos and Lord kill the Cart after I use my Staff to push them into combat with it. The Hounds lose but he fails his restraint rule and chases me.
The last couple of turns sees me moving away from him. Stalling them with a Spawn who the Wraiths kill.
Leaving me with; Chariot, 1 Bray Shaman, Bestigors, Mino Unit, Doombull.
Leaving him with; Lord, 1 Skellie unit, Wraiths.
Result - Win
Minor Victory.
Post Game Thoughts; We thought it was a draw, I was about 273 ahead after banners, or so we thought but we had forgot about the Black Knights banner because it happened so early [So an extra 100 points for a 370+ win, he was pretty gutted] so I got the win but only just. He pushed me pretty close mainly because I couldnt deal with his Lord or those Wraiths, my Chariot won me the game really though by smashing ALL his Black Knights in a single turn.
All in all Im pleased with the list, it worked well, my magic being a big boon again despite not getting the spell I wanted most of all [Delusions], a good win but it wasn't against a powerful VC list but Vamps are a tough match for Beasts no matter what.

Game 3 - Vs High Elves - 2000 Points
My list remains unchanged.
My opponents list as follows;
Prince; White Sword, Loremasters Cloak, Dragon Armour, Talisman of Loec. Mage; Lvl2, 2 Scrolls. Korhil; Chariot Noble; BSB, 5+ Ward, 1+ Re Rollable. Barded Steed, Shield. Dragon ARmour.
13 White LIons; FC, Magic Res 2. 14 White Lions; FC, Lion Standard. 10 Archers; 10 Archers;
Eagle; Eagle; Lion Chariot; Lion Chariot;
Pre Game Thoughts; I really wasnt sure how this was going to play out, I think again, my magic would be key. I had Spasms which can be a complete game winner, especially as only 1 unit had magic res against it. Excrution can make me unbreakable for long enough to flank the Elves. My Staff could get me the jump on the Chariots. Hopefully he wouldnt be able to cope with so many game winning spells and I would be able to fight on my terms with those White Lions.
Early Game;
I had hounds on both flanks, Minos and Bestis in the middle, Herd on my right, 1 Spawn on my right, 2 Spawn on my left with my Chariot. He had an Eagle on both flanks, Infantry in the middle, Archers flanking the Lions. 2 Lion Chariots on my left and Korhil on his Chariot on my right.
I go first and edge up very cautiously.
He mostly holds back, his Archers panic my Hounds on my right and kill 4 on my left.
I park my Hounds on my left right in front of his 2 Chariots. My Spawn ready to flank them. My Lord and Minos cut left to deal with the Chariots with my Lords S7 whilst the Chariot cuts in to support t he Bestis against the enemy Infantry. I burn through 1 of his SCrolls, I also make his Lord attack his own unit and kill 2.
Korhil moves out, preparing to run down my flank should I pass the hill near the middle of the board. 2 Chariots charge my Hounds, I fail my Fear and so the Chariots just trundle forwards. Eagle gets in the way of my Lord and Minos.
My Spawn both just reach the Chariots who had chased off my Hounds, 1 in the flank, 1 in the rear of the other. The one in the rear had lost 2 wounds to Archers though and was chopped down, the other fails to do any damage but recieves none back. I move my Herd around some rocks in order to flank charge that Korhil Chariot with the Staff of Darkoth. The rest of my line edges up. I get off Spasms on Korhil to root him in place, then I get off my Staff on my Herd but I fail the fear test to charge.
He moves up to force my hand with my Minos and Bestis. His BSB charges out of my unit catching my Chariot off guard. His Chariot who had killed my Spawn moves to get a bead on the Spawn fighting the other Chariot, an Eagle closes on my other Spawn who is then wounded my Arrows.
Clash of Arms; My Bestigors smash into a White Lion unit, my Minos into the Princes Lions. My Herd again fail a Fear test to charge Korhil. My Lord and Minos charge that Eagle who was pestering them. Spawn charges the other Eagle.
Now for a massive magic phase, that would really swing the game one way or another. I get my Staff off on my Herd again, finally the Herd passes its Fear and crashes into Korhils flank although he is no longer in Spasms so wont be auto hit. I then get Spasms off on the Princes unit, i cast big, he fails to dispel and has no scrolls left, so the prince and Lions will be auto hit by my Minos!, I then also get Unbreakable off on my Bestis in order to hold the other White Lion unit.
My Herd take 2 wounds off Korhils Chariot, he kills 3 beasts and holds. My Minos butcher a swathe of White Lions, my Bestis and the other White Lions draw. My Doombull and his boys kill that Eagle. The BSB and Chariot do no damage and draw. Eagle and Spawn do no damage either.
His other Chariot smashes into my Spawn. Killing it and over running.
My Lord charges out of his unit to smash the Chariot that had been stuck with my Spawn. My other Spawn and Eagle take a wound off each other. My Minos finish off those frozen White Lions with Prince, My Bestis and Lions draw again. My Herd takes another wound off Korhils Chariot but more are chopped down, he hold again.
Closing Stages; With things now firmly in my hands thanks to wiping out his Lords unit, he tries to salvage points. His Chariot turns back towards the action. Spawn takes another wound off the Eagle. BSB and Chariot fight on, My Chariot losing but holding due to the proximity of the Doombull. Korhils Chariot is killed but he kills more Beasts and holds. Eagle and Spawn do no damage again. Bestis and Lions draw again.
In the last few turns my Free Minos smash one of his Archer units, the Spawn finishes off that Eagle but is then shot down.
Korhil holds off the Herd on my right flank single handed for the rest of the game.
The BSB finally slays my Chariot, they both then charge my Doombull who has rejoined his Minos [down to just a wounded standard bearer now thanks to those Archers]. The last Mino is killed and my Doombull cant kill that BSB but my Doombull Holds.
I get Spasms off on those White Lions along with Frenzy on my Bestigors sees that last unit of White Lions cut down in droves and wiped out in pretty short order.
Leaving me with; Doombull, 3 Bray Shamans, Damaged Herd, Bestigors, Mino Unit. Leaving Him With; 1 Chariot, BSB, Mage, 1 Archer Unit.
Result - Win
Solid Victory to the Beasts!
Post Game Thoughts; Well that game was very up in the air untill late game, my massed charge on my turn would probably have seen most of my units beaten and broken and I was relying heavily on my magic turning those combats, It did. Spasms seeing the Prince and White Lions butchered, the Loremasters cloak no defence against it. Spasms also seen the end of Korhills Chariot, pinning it in place to be flanked.
I knew the other units magic res would be tough to crack so I made my Bestis unbreakable untill I had the luxury of focussing Spasms on that unit, which went off with a huge roll, allowing my Bestis who i then Frenzied to butcher them.
I didnt deal with the Chariots too well on the other flank but I contained them enough for them not to run rampant through my army. Mainly thanks to those Spawn working in tandem with my Hounds.
I was again very impressed with the list, that awesome slaanesh lore again coming into play.

Game 4 - Vs Orcs and Goblins - 2000 PointsMy opponents list was as follows; Skarsnik; Gobbo Shaman; CHARIOT - Lvl2, Staff of Stealin. Gobbo Shaman; CHARIOT - Lvl2, Itty Ring, Scroll. Gobbo Shaman; CHARIOT - Lvl2, 2 Scrolls. 6 Spiders; Mus 6 Spiders; Mus 6 Spiders; Mus 25 Night Gobs Archers; 2 Fanatics 25 Night Gobs Archers; 2 Fanatics 30 Night Gobs; Shields, FC, 3 Fanatics 5 Squig Herds;
Bolt Thrower; Bolt Thrower; Bolt Thrower; Bolt Thrower; Bolt Thrower; Bolt Thrower;
Doom Diver; Doom Diver;My list remained unchanged. Pre Game Thoughts; He got an awful lot of magic missiles. His pre game Squig Ambushes stalled a Bray Shaman, my Chariot and a vital unit of Hounds. I once again didnt get Delusions. He had all his Chariots on my right, along with 2 units of Spiders. Squigs and Skarsnik centre, ARchers on my left. 2 Bolt Throwers left, 2 right, the rest of the War Machines centre. A unit of Spiders also went on my left flank. I deployed a Spawn, and my Hounds on my left. 2 Spawn on my right, my Infantry centre, behind a huge Herd screen. I was actually very concerned about facing this list, he just had so much shooting and a fair bit of magic, he also had the speed on my support units with his, which could be vital. Early Game; I go first and advance, making sure my Hounds arent in charge range of his Spiders. My Magic makes Skarsnik kill 4 of his own Goblins. My opponent is quite cautious, and mainly just shuffles around a bit. I shut down his magic by burning through my Scrolls. His shooting downs my Spawn on my left. I advance again behind my Screen, my Minos without Lord cut left though towards those Gobbo Archers. My Shaman that had come on to that flank tries to stay out of LOS of the Spiders. With Chariots lined up to charge my Herd now, I cast my Unbreakable Spell on them. I also cast my Frenzy spell on the Gobbo Archers closest to my Minos on that flank to force them to charge the Minos in his turn, thus saving the unit from Bolt Throwers. My Hounds had earlier lured out his fanatics and landed on one killing it but losing me the Hounds. Flank Battles; For the next few turns there is a lot of manouvering out on the right with my Spawn, Hounds and Chariot facing off against his Chariots and Spiders, eventually my Spawn are shot down but my Hounds get a charge on his Chariot, beating it and running it off the Board. Out on the left the combat dragged on between the Archers and Minos, my own Frenzy spell coupled with great rolling from him, seeing his Archers beating my Minos again and again, the combat finally finished my off when the other Gobbo Archers joined the fray, running me off and catching me. Whilst the Spiders finally caught my Shaman. Centre Action; Meanwhile in the centre, my Herd charged a unit of Spiders, killing them and running them off, their over run seen them get charged by a Chariot though, they wound the Shaman and are ran off but escape. My hounds panic off that board because of the fleeing Herd. This leaves the centre with my Minos and Lord facing Skarsniks unit and my Bestigors facing the Squigs. I am all set up to get my charges thanks to my superior charge ranges, but a series of 6's for his animosity seen the Squigs charge my Bestigors, along with a Chariot for support. Whilst Skarsnik unleashed his Fanatics on my Minos with Lord. My Bestigors are killed and ran down, the chariot fails its Ld test to hold though and also pursues, over difficult ground, killing itself. Leaving the Shaman whom my Bray Shaman had wounded in the combat. Bull of DOOM!;After all that I am well on my way to being massacred, things get worse as most of my Lords Mino unit has been shot down by Bolt Throwers and Fanatics. My Chariot moves back across to deal with his Squigs whilst my rallied Herd starts moving again, going towards his Bolt Throwers. My Doombull charges out of his unit so as to avoid the Fanatics that his unit will hit if they go with him, he hits the unit so that he is in with Skarsnik but the unit Champ remains out of combat, hoping to just kill Skarsnik to salvage some points and reduce his armies LD. The Chariot smashes the Squigs and breaks them, they run amok, killing that stranded Shaman whos chariot had been destroyed. The crazed Squigs finish off the Chariot in their fleeing frenzy though. The Doombull takes 4 wounds off Skarsnik and takes none in return, i lose to his static res but hold. His Chariot moves to intercept my Herd, whilst his shooting finishes off the Lords Mino unit. My Herd hit his Chariot, breaking it and panicking a Bolt Thrower with it. The Doombull then is wounded once by Skarsnik but he finishes the Gobbo Lord off, he loses to static res again but continues to hold. His Champ then steps up and is cut down by my mighty Doombull. I again lose to static res but hold again!. My Herd take out another Bolt Thrower whilst my Doombull now gets to work on his Goblins, reducing their static res. In his final turn, sees my Herd survive his shooting. My Doombull is swarmed by Goblins but manages to just kill enough to finally beat them, the Goblins break! and the Doombull runs them off the board!. This also panics off 2 Bolt Throwers and a Doom Diver! This leaves me with; Doombull, Half a Herd. This leaves him with; 2 Bolt Throwers, 1 Doom Diver, 1 Half strength ARcher unit, 1 full strength Archer unit, 1 Spider Rider unit. Result - DrawThere was 10 points in it at the end.Post Game Thoughts; Well that was a desperate fight back, all thanks to my Doombull. That report is all over the place as I cant really remember what happened when, sorry about that. I was in a terrible position untill my Doombull single handedly killed Skarsnik, a whole Goblin unit and panicked off a load of War Machines in the process. My Herd were also awesome, providing a great screen, taking out a Chariot/Shaman, 2 units of Spiders and 2 Bolt Throwers.
His shooting was lethal, felling most of my Minos and all my Spawn. His animosity really helped him this game too, it really messed up my main units, taking some very important charges away from me. His rolling was great in combat, his Goblin Archers battering my Minos, they had Frenzy but I still should have won that easily. Thankfully he didnt pass many panic tests at the end with his War Machines.

Man... drawing to gobbos..... It's fun reading your reports, but I really miss your story ones, those were awesome. I realize you like the slaanesh spells (They're my favorite of the 4) but taking 3 bray shamans, especially against gobbos seems like a bad idea, and a point sink. I would also drop a spawn or something for either more beasts or another chariot. But like I said; an entertaining read

Haha, I thought it would be a bad match up for me from the start.
I agree, all those points on magic against an army with such great Magic Defense is a bad idea but I feel like I am cheatingif i change my list before a game. Once I make a take on all comers list its pretty stuck, although my Khorne list would have been better vs those Gobbos.
I have some fluff in mind for this thread actually, I may post fluff for some of the first few battles tonight.

As much as this goes against everything I say about warhammer, I think a khorne beast army would do you the most good. Everything has so much magic that those extra dispel dice are a godsend (no pun intended) and if a player is veteran enough, they can easily not only work their way around frenzy, but use it to their advantage.
I automatically dislike your gobbo opponent though, as I am severely racist against the bolt thrower....

I think my main reasons for going for Slaanesh were;
Awesomely painted Doombull in Slaansh colours. Converted Minos with Crab Claws and a standard from the Slaanesh Exalted on Boobworm. Oldcshool Slaanesh Gors as my Bray Shamans.
+ In game terms, Slaanesh gives me the a couple of ways to try to deal with big flyers.
On the other hand, I do have an ancient tiny Bloodthirster with the dog head that makes a great Doombull of Khorne as he has no wings. One of my Mino Champs is also an ancient Mino in some armour that appears to be made of bones.
I did the fluff for that first game by the way.

Salacious.... do I spot a metalocalypse fan? I read back through that, and I must say i really liked the whole idea Even the way the bloodthirster and bloodletter's attack was written was pretty cool.

Game 5 - 2000 Points - Vs Lizardmen
My list remained unchanged.
His list was as follows;
Slaan; BSB, Full Lore, Extra Power Dice, Re Roll Miscasts. Priest; Lvl2. ENGINE. Extra Spell. 18 Sauros; Spears, FC, Shields. 20 Temple Guard; FC, SHields. 2 Razordons; 10 Skink Skirmishers; 10 Skink SKirmishers;
So a decent list, until this choice;
5 Kroxigors;
But to be honest, I think he seen all my Minos and just wanted a bit of a big guy fight between each other.
Pre Game Thoughts; Well I am mainly worried about that Steg and the Spear Sauros I just have nothing that can reliably deal with them, I would have to flank the Spears and hit them in the front with Minos. I fancy my Bestigors on his Steg, using the Staff to charge it.
He took Fire on his Slaan.
He had his infantry centre, his Kroxis on my right along with the Steg, Skinks on both flanks, Razors on my left. I had 1 Spawn left, then some Hounds. Minos and Infantry Centre, screened by my Herd, Hounds and 2 Spawn along with my Chariot on my right flank.
Early Game; He got first turn and moved his Skinks up along with the Kroxis. I shut down most of his magic, only losing an Ungor.
I move up en masse, my magic sees me Frenzy the Skinks on my left, to make them charge my Hounds in his turn.
His Skinks charge my Hounds after losing 4 to the damage the Frenzy spell does. I again mostly shut out his magic, his Skinks on my right kill the Hounds there though with Blowpipes. His Frenzy Skinks kill my other Hounds and over run into my Spawn on my left whilst his Razors shoot down some Ungors.
I move my Herd across to deal with the Razors. MYfirst Spawn on my right moves into the SKinks, who choose to flee, but then my other Spawn moves into them too and makes them flee off the board. In my magic phase, I try to Staff my Herd into those Razors from close range to stop a Stand and Shoot. He dispels it though, so I cast my Frenzy spell on them, which goes off. My Spawn kills a few of those other Skinks, breaking them and running them down.
Battle Lines Close; His Razors have to charge my Herd. His Kroxigors move up in front of my Bestigors, trusting themselves to take the charge whilst the Steg moves up right behind to get Alignment off. He gets 6 hits on my Bestigors and all 6 wound..... He also does a wound on my Lords Mino unit with it. His magic phase mainly consists of one massive Conflag attempt on my Lords Mino unit, I fail to stop it. I keep failing against his Roll Offs, he gets 25 hits on me!....All Minos die and my Lord is wounded!.
The Herd beat his Razors though and run them down.
In my turn, I now have a pair of units that could possibly deal with those Spear Sauros thanks to pursuit rolls. So I move my Herd out to their flank and my Spawn charges them in the front, hoping to stay alive long enough to allow my Herd to flank them. My other Minos move to support this combat with a frontal charge next turn.
My Doombull and Bestigors, with ALL 3 Bray Shamans charge the Kroxigors. My Spawn and Chariot start moving towards the flank of the Steg behind the Kroxigors. I manage to get my Frenzy spell off on my Bestis, which should help a lot.
My Lord, Bestigors and Shamans smash the Kroxigors, leaving one left alive who runs away, my Lord heals himself thanks to the damage he does and both units over run into that Ancient Steg.
My Spawn manages to survive against a flurry of Spear attacks and drag a Sauros down.
Steg Smashing!; Not much for him to do in his turn, I shut down most of his magic that is aimed at my Minos. My Spawn is cut down and my Bestigors, Shamans and Doombull fight his Steg. Alignment does kill another 5 Bestis though! and wounds my Doombull.
Bestis thanks to the Frenzy spell, do 5 unsaved wounds on the Steg!, but he has some re rolls thanks to the Heavens spell and passes 1. So my Doombull steps up and finishes it off, breaking the Priest and running him down.
In my turn my Minos hit the front of his Spears with the Herd in the flank. Whilst my depleted Bestis, Doombull, 2 Spawn and Chariot all converge on those Temple Guard. I Frenzy my Minos and try to magic missile the Temple Guard but he dispels those missiles.
My Minos, with 16 S6 Attacks, hitting on 3's. Hit 4 times. I then get 2 1's to wound. 2 Dead Sauros. My Herd kill 1 and I lose 2 full Minos back!, I still win but he holds.
Last Stand of the Slaan; The Slaan tries blasting my Chariot and takes 3 wounds off it, not enough for the kill. My Herd kill 2 Spear Sauros on the flank but his Spears kill 2 full Minos again, with even less attacks this time, and wipes the Minos out!!. My Herd win out on combat res though but the Spears hold.
My Doombull, Chariot and Bestis hit the Temple Guard, only 1 Shaman and my Champ can fit in from the depleted Bestigors though. I Frenzy my Herd fighting the Sauros but I lose a Besti to the ongoing Frenzy they are suffering. I smash a lot of Temple Guard but he kills my Besti Champ, I easily win but he easily holds.
My Herd in his Spear Flank, now with Frenzy, win, but he holds again.
Closing Stages;For the last couple of player turns, my Herd finally grind it out against his Spears breaking them and chasing them into the back of the Slaan as my massed units fighting the Temple Guard start dropping the Temple Guard numbers very low. It is in my very lats turn that my Herd hit the rear of the Slaan and they can attack the Slaan itself, by t his point I had lost a lot of the Herd to that Frenzy spell though [but not over half].
I put 2 wounds on his Slaan and bring his Temple Guard down to 3 models.
Leaving him with; Slaan [just above half wounds], 3 Temple Guard. Leaving me with; Doombull, 3 Shamans, 4 Bestigors, Beast Herd, 2 Spawn, Wounded Chariot.
Result - Win
Solid Victory to the Beasts!
Post Game Thoughts; Well that went pretty much exactly to plan besides that HUGE Conflag and devestating burning Alignments. My Frenzy spell was a massive game winner. It took out a Skink unit and his Razors by making them charge me, and helped my Bestis kill the Steg and Kroxis and helped my Herd beat those Sauros in the flank.
I got all the combats I wanted, especially on those Spear Sauros, who despite that nearly pulled through with some awesome rolls for them and some terrible ones from my Minos.
He made a mistake with his Kroxis, he didnt think of my Doombull joining in or my Bestis getting Frenzy and having Poison. That doomed both them and the Steg.

Game 6 - Vs Warriors - 2000 Points
My list remains the same.
My opponents list was as follows;
Lord; Tzeentch, Coller, Great Wep, Regen. Sorc; Fury. Sorc; 2 Scrolls.
14 Chosen; Favour, Tzeentch. FC. Shields. 14 Warriors; FC, Shields, Slaanesh. 14 Warriors; FC, Shields, Slaanesh.
4 Trolls; Chariot; Slaanesh.
Shrine; Slaanesh Shrine; Slaanesh
Pre Game Thoughts; Well as I got Spasms and the Magic Missile on all of my Bray Shamans, so a lot of my plan would hinge on Spasms. None of my units could really beat his no matter where they hit them so I needed to Spasm then. Getting the charge on his Trolls with my Chariot and Minos should be easy enough and I would try to take his Chariot out with Spawns. My Herd would hunt down those Shrines.
Early Game; His Chosen got Fear on their Pre Game roll. He went first, his Chosen fialed to get 12 this turn, he got +1 T instead, although his other Warshrine went on another unit and instantly got a 12..... His lines moved up.
I sent 2 Spawns out left to try to deal with his Chariot, Herd and Hounds went right over a hill to try to get behind his lines after those Shrines. My magic Missiles wounded a Troll and killed 5 Warriors from the unit without Res on my left.
His Chariot charges my bait dogs. The rest of his line cautiously shuffles up a bit. Trolls fail a charge on my Chariot. His Chosen get 12....
I slam my Chariot and Minos into those standed Trolls whilst my Spawn move around to try and get a bead on his Chariot. My Bestigors hit his depleted Warriors on my left. I then get Spasms off on both Warrior units, the ones on the right to stop them hitting my Minos once they hopefully off the Trolls.
My Minos and Chariots kill 2 Trolls for just the loss of 1 wound on a Mino, they flee into my Herd and Die. My Bestigors smash his Spasmed Warriors who flee but get away. I had also moved another Spawn to redirect his Lord and Chosen.
My Herd carry on towards a Shrine.
His Chariot Smashes one of my Spawn, his Chosen charge another and fail to kill it as the Lord isnt in. His Warriors Rally. His other Warriors had been Spasmed so can do nothing.
I charge my Minos into the flank of the Warriors although Spasms has worn off now. I can only get 3 in but a Sorc is on that flank. I recharge his rallied none 12 Eye of the Gods Roll unit. My Herd cant quite reach the Shrine. My Bestigors dont kill many of and cant break those rallied Warriors.
My Minos do a whole 1 wound intheir 9 attacks, that is on the Sorc, he does 3 back and I break and run into impassable rocks and die despite having flanked them with great weapon weilding Minos. A unit of my Hounds flees off the board at the sight of this. His Chosen finish that Spawn.
Warrior Ascension; His Warriors who I had expected to be at least still held up by my Minos are now free to charge my Lords Mino unit, Chosen also turn to face this. My Bestigors draw with those couple of Warriors somehow, we both lose a Wizard in that combat.
My Doombull throws out a challenge and chops down the Sorc, my unit is easily beat and ran down though.......
My Herd gets the jump on that Shrine at last and my last Spawn gets a good roll to get that Chariot. My Chariot head at the other Shrine. My Bestigors finally wipe those Warriors out thanks to me casting Spasms on them again to be sure whislt my Herd chase that Shrine off the board.
Spawn and Chariot fight to a standstill.
His Infantry turn to try and get back into the action, his Shrine tries to move away from my Chariot.
I know I am losing at this point and need to find about an extra 100 or so points for the draw, so with that in mind I slam my Chariot into his Shrine. I do a couple of wounds but it holds!. My Spawnwounds the Chariot but takes a wound.
His Infantry are now free to get my Chariot though and his Lord smashes it with his great weapon and my Spawn finally dies to the Chariot in the last few turns. Taking me to about 200 points away from the draw.
Loss.
Minor Victory to the Warriors.
Post Game Thoughts; Really, that Warrior unit getting that 4+ Ward and Stubborn on turn one did it for me, it left me with 2 almost untouchable units, I flanked those with my Minos and thanks to the Ward they still beat my Minos. Then because of that they got my Lords Minos.
It was still on a Knife edge though, if my Chariot had broke his Shrine, which it should have, my Chariot would have survived and I would have the points for his Shrine, which would have got me the draw, unfortunatly it passed its break test and his lord then smashes my Chariot. Giving him the win.
Not too dissapointed in my actual list though, it still worked well, my magic was still useful. Just those Warshrines rolling well really.

Game 7 - Vs Dwarfs - 2000 Points
My list remained unchanged.
My opponent was using an experimental Dwarf Combat list as follows;
Lord; Immune to KB, +1 Attack, Flaming Attacks, Master Rune of Kragg the Grim. 4+ Ward, Rune of Stone, Shield. Thane; BSB, Strollaz. Runesmith; Shield, Rune of Stone, Rune of +1 to Dispel. Runesmith; Shield, Rune of Might, Rune of Balance.
19 Warriors; FC, Shield. 20 Warriors; FC, Shield. 13 Longbeards; FC, Shield. 18 Slayers; 2 Giant Slayers. 19 Iron Breakers; FC, Rune of Immune to Fear and Terror. 18 Miners; FC, Blasting Charges.
Pre Game Thoughts; I would have to do a lot of flanking in order to break his units and even then it may be tough with LD 10 Re Rolled. I would also struggle to get to his flanks if he got first turn as he could pin me back with Strollaz and that first turn move getting a 12'' jump on me. His Lords unit would be a problem, I would have to Spasm them to beat them. On the plus side, I do have my Spawn that can easily pin his Warrior units long enough for them to be flanked.
Early Game; He does his Strollaz and with him getting first turn, his Dwarfs have sped 12'' towards me before m y first turn, his main infantry blocks mostly down the centre with his Miners going to my right to try to take control of a hill.
My Spawn and Herd move out to his flank on my left. My Minos without Lord, and Chariot turn to face the hill whilst my Hounds get to the flank of his Miners. My Bestigors advance on his Slayers. I Spasm his Lords unit to hopefully force him to stagger his advance.
He is quite cautious holding a unit of Warriors back to protect his Iron Breakers with Lords flank.
I mass charge his Miners who have taken up position on the Hill. Minos to the front along with the Chariot with some Hounds in the flank. A Spawn charges 1 block of Warriors whilst another charges the other. My Bestigors charge his Slayers. The Miners charges only do a single wound tomy Chariot, I smash his Miners and run them down, getting those units behind his lines. My Spawn kill a Warrior each. My Bestigors kill a few of his Slayers.
His Lords unit move up on my Doombull with Minos, I have nowhere to go really with this unit now. His Longbeards who were bunkered behind his army with his BSB and a Smith move out to try to support his Warriors on my left as they are about to be flanked by my Herd thanks to the Spawn in their front. Both my Spawn take a wound but kill another Warrior each. My Bestigors draw with his Slayers thanks to some great rolling for the red headed Dwarfs.
My Last Spawn gets the jump on his Longbeards, pinning them in place, my Herd hit the flank of those Warriors whilst my Bull and Minos charge his Lords Ironbreakers, I am hoping for Spasms here!. My Chariot, Minos and a unit of Hounds advance behind his lines. My first attempt with Spasms with a Power Stone is dispelled, my second with another Power Stone is dispelled, then my last, I fail to cast it!. My Doombull wounds his Lord but loses 2 in return, my Minos kill 2 Iron Breakers but lose 2 wounds in return, I break and am ran down. Then to make matters worse, my Bestis lose both Shamans and my whole front rank to his Slayers!, they also break, and are also ran down!.
My Herd that flanked Warriors swing the combat but the Warriors hold.
Beasts Behind the Lines; His Lord, Iron Breakers and Slayers turn, ready to start advancing back on the action. My Spawn fighting his Warriors on my right is killed off. My other Spawn survive whilst my flanking Herd manage to break those Warriors, the Spawn runs them down.
My Chariot and Hounds move around the Warriors who just killed off my Spawn on the right. My Herd move to the flank of his Longbeards whilst my Minos move towards their rear. My other Spawn also hits the front of them now, both Survive, killing a Longbeard each.
His Warriors turn to face my Chariot and Hounds, although the Hounds can still see the flank. His Lord and Slayers carry on towards the battle but will not reach it in time.
In my turn, my Minos hit the rear of his BSB's Longbeards with the Herd in the flank. My Chariot charges the front of his Warriors with the Hounds in the flank. The Warriors hold but lose their Runesmith. The Longbeards are broken easily and ran down.
The last turn just sees the Hounds/Chariot and Warriors fight to a standstill.
This leaves me with; Bray Shaman, 4 Minos, Beast Herd, 12 Hounds, Chariot. This leaves him with; Lord, Ironbreakers, 6 Slayers, 12 Warriors.
Result - Draw
Post Game Thoughts; Well it all looked really bad when i lost 2 Bray Shamans, Bestis and my Lord and a unit of Minos in 1 turn. Thanks to me failing to get Spasms off on his Lords unit and the Slayers rolling great. This though did take those units out of the game and allowed me to pin his other units with my Spawn so I could do a lot of flanking and break the rest of his army. My magic really let me down in this game but he did have great magical defense.
All in all a dissapointing result, I now need 3 wins in a row to reach my target of 6-2-2. I do still think the list is much better than my Dwarfs and Orcs though who both did much better than this. Not sure what else I could have done in that game.
Could be a Hellbron Khaine list up next.

Game 8 - Vs Dark Elves - 2000 Points
Hellbron; Hag; BSB, Standard of HG. Both with - 16 Execs; FC
Hag; Couldran Sorc; 2 Scrolls
6 Wyches; 6 Wyches; 6 Wyches; 6 Wyches; 6 Wyches; 10 Warriors; 5 Harpies; 5 Harpies; 5 Shades; Great Weps 5 Shades; Great Weps Assassin; 2 Hand Weps, Rending Manbane Stars Assassin; 2 Hand Weps, Rending Manbane Stars
My list remained the same.
Pre Game Thoughts; My plans around this game all revolved around Spasms, I roll my spells, I dont get it! I dont even get Delusions!. Which turns an uphill struggle into an even tougher task. Still, I would just try to lure and bait that Exec Star and try not to fight it with anything significant. I would use my own Frenzy spell to damage his small light units, the Wyches wont even benefit from it already being frenzied.
He had stacked his Wych units to get the jump on any Minos as they cant over run so I would have to try and pin his rear units with Spawn.
Blood Hunt; He goes first and advances up, his shooting kills 2 dogs froma unit on my left. My Minos, Herd a Spawn and a Hound unit go right to deal with 3 Wych units over a hill. My Doombull with Minos go up the centre with the Chariot and Bestigors. The Spawn on my right gets an 18'' move getting the jump on some Harpies, they roll low to flee and are caught and eaten. Another Spawn on my right also gets 18''! and gets a bead on the flank of a rear unit of Wyches if it can survive the Assassins stars next turn.
In magic, Hellbron has wisely behind the Executioners so i cant make her attack her own Execs, I make the BSB do it instead, killing 3.
He continues to shuffle up, his front Wyches on my right climb the hill, ready to die at the Minos great axes so the Wyches behind can get my Minos as they feed. The Assassin then moves with his Shades to finish the trap by shooting the Spawn now on the rear Wyches flank but they only do a single wound.
His Warrior Shield move to block off the Chariot on the Execs who i was hoping to charge into the Execs, get some kills with Impacts, avoid Hellbron and hopefully survive to put my steed and crew attacks on the BSB before breaking.
The other Assassin and Shades strip 2 wounds off my other more advanced Spawn on my left.
In my turn, my Bestis crash into some Wyches. My Hounds charge some Harpies. My Spawn charges into a Wych flank on the left and on the right. My Herd move towards the last unengaged Wyches that are on my far right. The Chariot hits those Warriors whilst my other Spawn comes back across to redirect the Execs and Hellborn away from my Bestis flank should I fail to wipe the Wyches out.
I cast the Frenzy on the last unengaged Wyches, so it will start hurting them next turn. My Chariot beats the Warriors but they hold. My Bestis do rubbish, only just beating 6 Wyches but they hold thanks to Stubborn from the Couldran. My Minos charge up the Hill and wipe out those Wyches. My Spawn in the flank of the Wyches on my right kills a fair few and breaks them. My other Spawn gets 2 kills but they hold thanks to Stubborn.
The Shackled Hag Queen; The Execs and Hellbron have really no option but to charge the Spawn, killing it and are forced to over run deep behind my Lines. The Wyches lose 4 models to Frenzy. Shooting finishes off my other unengaged Spawn. The Wyches fighting my Bestis still hang on, even killing a Shaman and wounding another with a flurry of 6's!. I take them down to 2 models. The other Wyches finish off my Spawn with another poisoned hit. The Harpies beat my Dogs and run them down whilst my Chariot beats those Warriors again, breaks them and runs them down.
I now move my remaining unit of dogs I had held back for this reason, across to Hellbrons Execs flank to lure them back across the field with a suicidal flank charge once they turn back towards the action.
My Chariot charges a unit of Shades with Assassin from inside their stand and shoot range. The Assassin still throws his Stars thanks to being thrown weapons though and he does 2 wounds to it. My Minos move around and the Frenzy spell reduces the Wyche son my left to 1 model, my Herd charges in to finish her off. My bestis finish the other 2 Wyches and with a 6+1 from impact hits, I roll no 1's and kill all 5 Shades and do both wounds on t he Assassin before I am struck.
The remaining 4 Wyches charge my Bestis, Hellbrons unit turn to face the battle and advance as far as they can. The Harpies move to intercept my Bull and Minos to stop them getting at the Couldran. The Wyches kill my other Shaman with another poison hit but are beaten and break, the over run hitting the Couldran.
My Hounds flank Hellbrons unit, die and lure her unit out of the game, they are now too far away with too few turns left to do anything else. My Bestis do AWFUL vs the Couldran and take LOADS of wounds, I win only thanks to my Musi but the Couldran Holds. My Bull and Minos hit those Harpies, wipe them out and eat them.
I am now in a great position, all he has left are his Couldran, Sorc, 1 Shade unit and his Exec Star out of the game, I have everything besides my Spawn, Dogs and 2 Shamans, yet when we tally points I am only 150 ahead!. I know i need to either get that SOrc or the Shades and Assassin plus the Coulran, my Bestis continue to fail against the Couldran only just beating it again and it holding again. So I frenzy spell his Shades hoping to do enough damage.
In his last turn his Sorc moves out of my Chariots charge arc and his Shades head to safety. He loses only 2 Shades to the spell.
In my last turn the Doombull charges into the Couldran and finishes off that Hag, my spell fails to do any wounds and so he is left with;
Assassin + 3 Shades, Sorc + Exec Star vs 2 Mino Units, Doombull, Shaman, Herd, Bestigors, Chariot.
Result - Draw
Post Game Thoughts; A bit dissapointing really, we also lost track of turns, if we had another turn, which I thought we did, I would probably have found those last few points i needed for a win, i had that Sorc cornered and those Shades dying with the Exec Star safely contained. My magic was a huge let down, he only used 1 of his 2 scrolls!, the only spells I managed to get off were Frenzy spells on mostly already frenzied units just for the bit of damage it does. I failed multiple times to get the spell off that would make Hellbron smash her own unit and give me at least half points for them.
My Spawn were real stars this game though, a couple of really lucky 18'' moves really scuppered his plans with his Wyches and put me in the driving seat when coupled with my other Spawn taking his Exec Star out of the game with the help of some dogs. Those 6's come back to haunt me though with all the 6's he got for Poison.
Still, I think a draw is a decent result against that list, particularly with no Spasms!. This list now has the worst record of ANY Fantasy army I have EVER had though!, I dont know what it is, I really like the list, I believe it is much more effective than my Orcs, Dwarfs and DoW lists yet it is doing much worse even though I think I am playing well enough with it.
I think Beasts are just a really fragile army to use, they either die too easy with no armour or break way too easy like our Herds. Bestis seem to be the only reliable and durable unit in the army.
