I was thinking about getting a Brettonian army from the cursed region of Mousillon.
I would use the brettonian rules but:
Never have the blessing of the lady no matter what happens.
Use undead models mixed in with my men at arms and bowmen. Use vampires on winged nightmares as my pegasus knights. Possibly use blooddragon models as my characters.
I was thinking of an army a little something like this:
Lord, with virtue of the ideal, lance of artios, gromril great helm and barded steed etc.
Paladin, with Virtue of knightly temper, birth sword, barded steed etc.
4 units of 9 knights of the realm with standard and champ. These would be have black armour etc to give them an ominous look, no open helms.
20 men at arms with spears. These will have zombies, necromancer, skeletons and other evil but rather weak looking models spread through their ranks.
20 men at arms with spears. These will have zombies, necromancer, skeletons and other evil but rather weak looking models spread through their ranks.
20 men at arms with Halberds. These will have zombies, necromancer, skeletons and other evil but rather weak looking models spread through their ranks.
2 units of ten archers.
4 pegasus knights with gallant. These will be the blood dragons on winged nightmares.
I want this to be a foce of evil but still use the brettonian rules. So what do you think? any suggestions?.

i sugest you make the lord have the questing vow. when you have a lord with a S6 weapon and lots of attack(plus more on the charge) he can be devastating.

Ive tried not to take anything that will ink them with the lady of the lake.
Also the virtues ive taken are as closely linked to mousillon as i can get.
The army is really ment to be all that competetive i just wanted a force with a nice theme.

I like it. Possibly using some converted Vampire counts could work for you?

Yes i will probably use them for my Characters.
I will also definatley be using blood dragons on winged nightmares for my pegasus knights (the main reason why i'd like to get this army).

What combinations of magic weapons are you thinking of for your lords and heroes. Also, what are you using for your damsells, possibly van carrstein? That or use some greentuff

Lord, with virtue of the ideal, lance of artios, gromril great helm and barded steed etc.
Paladin, with Virtue of knightly temper, birth sword, barded steed etc.
I will have no magic as the only laws the damsels can use dont really fit in with the whole evil theme, although if i was to use one it would probably be a lahmian model.

Makes sense. I do like the idea of the army as a whole and i am glad to see that you are playing the army with fluff intent. other than the cost I can see nothing wrong with it lol. Alot of dosh needed!!

Personally, I'd just ask your opponent's permission to change the Damsel's lore. I think Shadow, Fire or Death would work.

Interesting army. Deja vu. My VC army has come from the region of Mousillon. My Black Knights and Zombies are sporting bret heraldry and armor. I'm still working on the 'grave theme flocking'. I have yet to highlight the barding and the horse 'wounds'. Notice the bret helmets with skulls.

That is truly awesome. Now all it needs are some Blood Knights as Knights of the Black Grail. That is just extremely well done though.
