Ok, I've been away from fantasy for some time now, and I finally decided what I want to do. First off, I have a beastman warband for mordheim that I want to work on either this week or next, then I want to start a beastman army. Where my problem comes in is... which god?
I decided against Nurgle, as A) I just plain dislike nurgle, and B) Grunt plays nurgley beasts as his primary army. This leaves me with 3 gods that I'm having a horrible time deciding between, and I want to run mono god.
My first thought is khorne. I would probably have the most fun painting and modelling them, but... onto the game portion: I really really hated frenzy, because as a wood elf player I always get to use it to my advantage, but... after doing this long enough, I know it's strengths, and how to avoid its weaknesses. My first thought would be... lots of dogs. I think I would run at least 6 units of 5 naked dogs. After that I think I would run minotaurs, chariots, and beastherds. With khorne, I do get the awesome dispell die, but... I do lose out on casting, which brings me to:
Tzeentch. The mark of tzeentch is fun, and with them I believe I would run an ambushing list, with some spawn to act as anvils, and some minotaurs or dragon ogres as hammers.
Now slaanesh is something of a midground for me here, as the mark seems a bit lackluster. Now... if I remember correctly, mark of slaanesh grants ItP? If this is the case I'd probably comepletely skip this, as not being able to flee as a charge reaction with no real bonus in my eyes is just... terrible. If I do run slaanesh, I would probably run something like the tzeentch list, but with chariots for hitting power and dogs for flanks, while keeping spawn or a giant as an anvil. Come to think of it, if I run tzeentch or slaanesh I would probably run a combination between the 2 ideas while keeping it monogod.
So... any suggestions?
