Min Power Dice to be worth the cost?

I am seeing more and more people take 1 or 2 Lvl2's in their list and I just cant see why. In take on all comers lists, if you fight any magic army or anything with any magic defense those points spent on the extra levels and offensive items are totally wasted.

So what do YOU think is the min power dice you should take to even bother upgrading your Wizards?

Personally I think you should have at least 8 Power if you are going to invest any points at all in magical offense. This can include bound [each counts as a power dice for this].

Sure, you could think that way, or you could see it as 'I can get lucky, and any little bit can nuts the game.' Those extra spells can help a lot. Especially if you know how to play your opponent into being scared of the 'stronger' spells that you don't care to let off. I don't see a minimum of power die, I just go by the old warhammer maxim; quantity beats quality 9 times out of 10.

I never have and never will take a Lvl 1.
