I am going to try and make some rules for the series of books by David Eddings, the Elenium. Anyone is free to help.

I know this is old but if you check in from time to time you may still see this.
Ive recently read all 6 sparhawk books. Im not sure if there are enough choices. I think the bad guys from the second trilogy make a more fitting enemy too, there just arent enough in the first. For the Elenes you could go for:
LORDS/HEROS:
Special Characters - Sparhawk [Warriors/Wizard Lvl2] - Kalten [Warrior] - Kurik [Warrior] - Ulath [ Warrior Wizard Lvl1] - Tynian [ Warrior Wizard Lvl1] - Bevier [ Warrior Wizard Lvl1] - Sepherina [ Wizard Lvl4] - Flute [Wizard Lvl4]
- Preceptors - Kings - Barons - Church Soldier Captains
CORE:
- Church Soldiers [Halberds/Spears] - Church Knights [ Each of the 4 Orders as a Different Choice]
SPECIAL:
- Lamork Crossbowmen
RARE:
- Peloi Horsemen

You could use Cygrons forces as the opposition, using things like Cygrons troops as core, the serfs they have too as support units.
Dawn men/trolls and those warriors from the other world as rares/specials.
Evil Styric Wizards as Lords.
Then you have the criminal army as troops and regular evil captains as heros.
