Ok, thinking up a few wood elf armies again, here are 3 that I like, which do you think is most competative?
Forest Vortex;
Archmage;Lvl4, Wand of Wych Elm
Mage;Lvl2, Div Orb, Scroll.
Alter;Great Wep, Shield, LA, Helm of the HUnt, Hail of Doom
Brachwraith;Lvl1, Nestlings, Radiants
10 Glade Guard;
10 Glade Guard;
8 Dryads;
5 Glade Riders;
7 Wardancers; Mus + Bladesinger
6 Wardancers; Mus
4 Warhawks;
6 Wild Riders; FC
5 Waywatchers;
Your typical, annoying, harassing Wood Elf Force, of course the great weakness in these kind of armies is getting blasted with magic missiles. Which is where the big magic defense comes in. Plus it lets me be even more annoying with the help of movement spells.
The Wind Born;
Lord;Dragon, Bow of Loren, Bodkins, Spear, Shield, LA, Stone of Rebirth.
Mage;2 Scrolls
Alter;Great Wep, Shield, LA, Helm of the HUnt, Hail of Doom
10 Glade Guard;
10 Glade Guard;
10 Glade Guard;
8 Dryads;
7 Wardancers; Mus
6 Wardancers; Mus
6 Wild Riders; FC
4 Warhawks; Champ
Eagle;
My flyer heavy force with a Dragon, Eagle and 4 Hawks. Dragon Lord is a little multi purpose, to make the most of the turns on the enemy flank/rear. I am tempted to drop a unit of Wardancers here for 3 more Hawks.
The Resoloute;
Ancient;Nestling, Radiants.
Mage;2 Scrolls.
Alter; Hail + Helm combo
BSB;Gwythercs Horn, Stone of Rebirth
17 Eternal; FC
10 Glade Guard;
10 Glade Guard;
8 Dryads;
5 Glade Riders; Mus
7 Wardancers; Mus
7 Wardancers; Mus
6 Wild Riders; FC Warbanner
The Stubborn set up, with 2 decent Cav flankers/march blockers, a little bit of firepower and 3 flanking infantry units. My BSB is very hard to kill and also makes those Eternals ITP for a turn. Tempted to join the mage with them, give him the magical attacks spite and lose a scroll. Just to deal with Wraiths.
