My only real problem with the list is that massive Cav unit.

Just go for 5-6 then add the Scar Vet, those extra attacks for the larger frontage will get you more combat res than that rank.

I do think though from a power playing standpoint that if you are going to invest so heavily in magic, you should go the whole way at this points value and add more magic rather than t hat Carni Lord.
