First off, Veq, I accidentally hit "Advanced moderation" or something of the type on this board and I don't know what it does..... nothing changed for me, but ...... forewarned? Anyway: Simcon '09. A gaming convention in upper New York, run by (And hopefully without playing) a 2 time GT Baltimore winner, as well as the winner of Best General, Best painted army, and Best sportsmanship, as well as a man who.... won 3rd place in a GT with Ogres. On Saturday I will be be playing in this with my 1900 point wood elf list, which may be edited to remove some dryads and wardancers, with the gain of one more unit of 19-20 Eternals. But what is interesting about this? Well, I will not be representing The Border Princes alone. Alongside me will be the best beastmen player I know (Like saying the smartest rock....) as well as the best Brettonian player I know. They are the two best players in the middle of nowhere where I am from, but I also have high hopes for them at SimCom. The beast player? Our very own chaos mod; Grunt90. And the Brettonian player is.... The Member. Now you may be asking why I am posting this here. I.... am bringing my camera. Now since I do not play 40k anymore, Sunday, the 40k day may even see me playing a slow game so I may make a decent bat rep for you fine folks. So for now peace out and peace off

Well, anyone who read what had been here, I lied. Man I love Boldo.... There are to be at least 10 people, and man, things look screwy. I do not know any of the players who will be playing... unless Boldo is playing in which case.... oh crap. I'm afraid that some of his proteges will certainly play though, so this is a different league than is played up where I'm from... Rules are here.

And (Yeah, triple post, but 3 seperate entities....) I have found one of the Simcon armies that I may face, that you may use reference to what sort we will play.

Other then that, good luck people!

These are the finalized comp rules, and the Brettonian player probably will not come due to family commitmant and... well, the comp scoring. I really hate comp scoring, because it says "Play the army my way or you're screwed" to which I really wish to reply that if I wanted to play a different army, I would, but Wood Elves are my army and if you don't like it, too bad, but I can't. It's only a max of 22 points, but it still bothers me. Also, anyone with the Wood Elf army book, flip to the core section and read the glade guard entry. Tell me what is useful about the scouts?

So much double posting, but you know, it just seems right. Veq, if you would like me to stop, just ask. At the tournament scoring will work as such: battle will be 60, comp will be doubled, painting will be 30pts, and sportsmanship 30. I also got this pm from Boldo: So that said, I would like to point you to the painting board for this little bit.

Dont worry about the double posts, it works in threads like this to divide the info.
It does seem an overly complicated system though, but I guess it gives every army a fighting chance.
