Hey guys, I am going to post this and see if I might get me some answers..
My friend has decided he wants to play Chaos, however he is torn between Slannesh or Nurgle. Now I don't have that particular Army book so I was wondering if I might ask some advice from you guys..
What do they both bring to the table?
I understnad it as Slannesh is fast and Nurgle is tough.. so how does that affect the way they play?
And finally, what would you say are the biggest threats that Nurgle or Slanneshi armies will pull on me as his opponent?

I'm a Slaanesh player myself.
If your friend is going for a regular Mortal army then going Slaanesh isn't going to have that much effect or impact on his points costs for units. It will just make everything immune to psychology.
So, they won't be any faster, but they do get access to some nice magic items.
Nurgle Isn't all the tough in Fantasy either, the characters will get more wounds and the units will cause fear. This costs more per mark though so your opponent will have less models on the table.
Neither the lores of magic for either Slaanesh or Nurgle are all that impressive, Slaanesh has some interesting/annoying[for the opponent] spells though.
The threats from these are the same you will see from regular chaos forces, so heavy infantry and cavalry. If your friend is taking beast units though I'd beware a Shagoth with great weapon and mark of Slaanesh, they can devestate most other units/monsters in the game.
