Never really seen the r ules although the Generals Compedium has rules for ships to be used in regular Fantasy game, obviously though, that would take a lot of modelling work.
I am into the fluff regarding sea battles in Fantasy though. I have always thought it pretty odd that Bretonia has a better fleet than the Empire, and their ships usually outgun Empire ships in terms of amount of Cannons too. Thanks to the oft overlooked Merchant Class of Bretonia who seem to be rising in power in the fluff, perhaps we will see their influence in the next Bret army book.

The Brettonians have two knight groupings. Those who fight on land and those who fight at sea. The knights that fight at sea are born to be on a ship just like their land counterparts who are born in the saddle. I think that Brettonia has a way more complex social structure than the army book puts on. They have complex noble houses and different classes of people other than just the nobles and the peasants.

Naval battle rules are at the bottom of this page. Brettonians have what is probably the most feared navy, even more so than Dark Elves and High Elves. I'm sure we could easily come up with some expiramental rules for knights on foot and a point cost, and maybe make Trebuchets count as a special choice for ships. It would be fun to play a ship battle, especially since I have some good DE corsairs and their bolt throwers are 2 for one rares. Though too my knowlege Veq, they just use Trebuchets with amazing accuracy, not cannons. Of course my knowlege of Brettonian sea power may be slightly outdated.

I found rules and stuff at the bottom of this page.It doesn't seem as fun as fantasy with the naval rules.
