Hi, My freind may be starting chaos, so ive compiled a 2k pt list for him, any comments would be greatly appreciated. His main opponent will be, me! (so he won't win ) exalted sorcerer 375 pts mark of tzeentch lvl 4 wizard staff of change exalted champion of chaos 170 pts collar of khorne mark of khorne helm of many eyes great weapon sorcerer of chaos 175 pts lvl 2 wizard mark of tzeentch skull of katam sorcerer of chaos 125 pts dispel scroll power stone 12 warriors of chaos 198 pts full command great weapons 25 marauders of chaos 180pts (flesh shield) hand weapon full command shield 5 warhounds 30pts (flanking force) 19 warriors of chaos 277 pts shields full command 5 marauder horse men 108 pts musician standard spears throwing spears 2x chariot 200 pts hellcannon 270 pts 1995 Updated list.

Am I crazy or do you have to many characters in this list?

Yes to first. There'r 3 sorcerers @ L2, and one at L4.
*EDIT* But, for future reference, could we put lists into a format from now on, just to avoid confusion? (IE HQ-special-core-rare)

It seems ok besides the problem with characters.
I think you are using Marauders and Warriors wrong though, Bump the Marauders up to about 25 with Hand Wep and Shield + Full Command. Put your champ in there with them if you want them to have extra punch, they are your static combat res. Then make the Small Warrior unit have 2 Hand Weapons or Great Weapons. They are your hammer and will hit the flank of units engaged with the Marauders.
For Big Warrior Units, take Hand Weapon and Shields, I'd also be tempted to give them a Warbanner too.
Drop the Magic Armour on the Wizard Lord.
Drop the Standard on the Marauder Horse too.
Then you will have an army that can stand back and blast the enemy with Magic and the Hellcannon, using the Marauder Horse and Hounds to march block and harass, or to take out enemy fire-power. Then when the enemy hits home they have to deal with two solid blocks in the form of Marauders and Warriors and you have a Hammer unit [Warriors with 2 Hand Weps] to support where needed.

Ok, its got the right amount of chracters, i forgot about the overall limit. And i've also altered it like you said, veq.
