Fluffwise I hate the idea of a steam tank. Also, I'm not sure about taking characters... is his model cool at least?

No, the model sucks haha, I use a normal Bright Wizard model.
He does add +1 hits to fireball +2 to firey blast etc, has an extra 12'' range on all fire spells. Gets a Power Stone every turn, has a Bound Sword of Rhuin and 2 basic attacks for 3 S6 hitting on 2's and IIRC he adds +1 to cast.

I have to admit, that does sound fun, and sounds like a pretty good surrogate Luthor. He wasn't a chicken like these modern day Bright wizards, no; half the time he rode a massive warhorse with this strange bending sword....
He also had the worlds coolest beard.

Who is Luthor Flamestrike?
Gorman actually relished challenges to his position when he was supreme patriarch as he just liked a good fight and could do it legally in a magical duel for the position. He loves fighting, hence his Flaming Sword that cant be dispelled in your turn but can in the enemies. Then it just auto restarts in your turn again.
He slapped Balthasar Gelt silly but the Gold Wizard used trickery and underhanded schemes to win. Turning Gorman to Gold as he was stood over him gloating. He turned him back though so he could continue to fight for the Empire.

Luther Flamestrike was a massively powerful bright wizard from the warhammer computer games. His notable acheivments were beating the crap out of a witch hunter, fighting approximately 5 units of orcs and goblins off by himself, which is when Morgan Bernhardt (an awesome mercenary captain) found him, and he cancelled out all of Nagash's magic on his latest reawakening, allowing Bernardt to kill him. He also beat greyseer Thanquol in a magic battle. I'm thinking of trying to remake the grudgebringer army using current warhammer rules. There were some attempts here and here.
