Well, this battle was part of the fluff about my character Sir Auric of Quenelles (http://oldworldonline.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=brets&action=display&thread=442) so I will write up the battle in a fluffy way. It was set before he rode of into the Forest of Loren, this is where he met his arch enemy.
As a little history; at this time Auric was but a young knight, (represented by the mounted paladin in my list) who had ridden to one of his family's manors, Par Cellion, close to the edges of the Forest of Loren, on a spur of trees that had grown past the waystones.
Wandering along the walls of his father's manor, Auric heard a commotion, then his elder brother yelled out "Gather the peasants, the beasts are coming!" He rode into the village, rallying the men, when he found an old friend, a strange paladin, loved by the peasants. The man often helped them and was greatly respected by them, though the knights hated him for it.
He began setting up his men at the main road to the manor, inside the village. Most of the Manor was walled in, but for the back, which was up against the trees(which was where his brother was protecting, with the manor's contingent of knights), and the road in. There was also one more weak point , a 15' opening in the corner, which had once been destroyed in some forgotten war, and had just been allowed to be overrun with trees. The men had set long stakes in the road, but he knew that this point had to be protected, but where would he find the men?
He looked across and saw a beautiful woman lead a score of archers to the edges of the woods. Even at this distance, he knew who she was. This woman was one of the damsels of the lady, though this did not stop him from becoming infatuated with her. What better wife for a knight could there be than such a woman....
"Look sir, they come" yelled one of his yeoman on a horse to his side, snapping him from his reverie. He looked out across the village, and there they were. Wolves, chariots, minotaurs, and scores of beasts. Some beasts had painted their fur gold, or died it blue. Looking for the leaders, he saw one massive beast running with a mob of slightly larger beasts, the ones whose fur looked golden. The creature had lightning crackling around his hands, but was this the leader? Scanning the rest, he saw yet another who could be it; a large beast with the head of a ram and a sinister sword that looked as though it had been carved from a massive bone or tooth, running with 3 minotaurs.
He believed this was it, until he saw a glint from one of the chariots. Looking closer he saw what appeared to be the largest of them, rivaling even the musculature of the minotaurs, the strange creature had twisted golden horns that formed an X upon its head. Looking at the size of this terrible horde, he knew there was a terrible battle coming.
