Just wondering what you all thought of the different Gobbo types from warhammer chronicles.
I think the Fire Kobolds are great, for one extra point you get some really good special rules. The best IMO.
The Hill Goblins are really powerful and tough for gobbos, with access to great weaponsor additional hand weapons. But the animosity special rules are to much of liability.
The two rare choices are ok, but are quite expensive ansd don't really do much.

I tried to forget they existed! Gobbos are gobbos are gobbos... undead gobbos? Firey Gobbos? someone saw koopas(tm) on a mario game and thought OOH! We can do that to gobbos...they are wrong.. sorry but I feel quite strongly on this (I don't want to upset anyone this is all my own humble opinion and you did ask!) I think the person responsible at gwhq should hang thier head in shame

I don't see what wrong with them as there is already obvious variations in goblin ecology before this with night goblins, common goblins, forest goblins, gnoblars, hobgoblins - these aren't just differences in name they have different physical traits etc.
Therefore your arguement is inherently flawed as gobbos aren't just gobbos (as you put it), there is much variation already and it just expands on this to give more flavour and show what goblines are like in even more varied environments. It makes perfect sense.

ok there are sub varieties... i'll agree on forest, night, hob and 'common'... gnoblars were added after the ecology item- but the onesd in the eclolgy item were just wrong- why should an undead gobbo be better than a zombie or a gobbo when thats all they are - zombified gobbos? if anything they should be worse than eithar a gobbo or a zombie... (i'd argue the others but i can't remember the rules for them!)

Hill gobbo's were great, although the Fire and Water ones were lame, and the reason that Zombie Gobbo's are minutly better is because although they are dead they retain their basic Goblin-ness.

gobbos should be gobbos, ordinary gobbos, not some special-extra things
i don't like when everything gets so complicated
