Okay, so I'm starting Wood Elves as my first Fantasy army. I'll put up a project log soon.
But I want some criticism on this list. This is going to be made with what i currently own (i.e. the heros) + a Battalion + a unit of wardancers and waywatcher... To begin with the tree kin will be made out of stick or something.
Heroes Highborn Lord - General -Light Armor -Great Weapon -Bow of Loren -Arcane Bodkins 214pts
Waywatcher Noble -Hail of Doom arrow -Brairsheath 153pts
Spellsinger -Level 2 -Ranu’s Heartstone -Lamentation of Despairs 170pts
Spellsinger -Level 2 -Dispel Scroll -Divination Orb 175pts
Core 12x Dryads -Branch Nymph 166pts
14x Glade Guard -Lord’s Bowman -Standard Bearer -Musician 192pts
10x Glade Guard Scouts -Lord’s Bowman -Musician 182pts
8x Glade Riders -Horse Master -Musician 210pts
Special 6x Wardancers -Musician -Bladesinger 129pts
4x Treekin -Elder 280pts
Rare 5x Waywatchers -Shadow Sentinel 128pts
TOTAL: 1999

I would lose all commands in that army besides the Branch Nymph and Musicians.
You don't really need 12 Dryads. You will usually only ever get 7 into combat. 10 Is more than enough, I prefer 8.
I'm not sure on the Scouts either, I dont really think they are worth it. They are skirmishers that can flee though, which is rare in the Wood Elf army. I'd make that a small unit if you really want them and then just take 2 units of 10 regular Glade Guard.
You will rarely get much magic off with those 2 Mages and you are payinga lot of points for them. Perhaps consider just making them defensive instead. You could even go for a Branchwraith with Radiants and Lvl1 for 2 extra Dispell dice and just 1 mage with 2 scrolls and Lvl1.
I think Waywatcher Nobles are pretty useless, but they are cool. Still, I'd rather make him an Alter Noble.

I like waywatcher kindreds too, they're a powerful HQ, and Veq is right too though, so is an alter kindred. Being able to scout that Hail of Doom in may be too much of a temptation, it generally is for me.
If you're planning on buying any other units, I'd go for Eternal Guard, they're very good, especially for the list you're running.
Also, in case you don't know yet, Spellsingers are very weak, I'd at least throw the rest of you're wardancers into the list.

Well it's changed now. I've done some thinking on units and structure, and by the fact that treekin are harder to make than tree men i thought I give the treeman a whirl. Since they are so feared.
Heroes Highborn Lord - General -Light Armor -Great Weapon -Bow of Loren -Arcane Bodkins 214pts
Waywatcher Noble -Hail of Doom arrow -Brairsheath 153pts
Wardancer Noble -Blades of Loec -Gwytherc’s Horn -Light armor 127pts
Spellsinger -Level 2 -Dispel Scroll -Divination Orb 175pts
Core 12x Dryads -Branch Nymph 166pts
10x Glade Guard -Musician 126pts
10x Glade Guard -Musician 126pts
5x Glade Guard Scouts -Musician 91pts
8x Glade Riders -Musician 198pts
Special 9x Wardancers -Musician -Bladesinger 183pts
Rare 6x Waywatchers -Shadow Sentinel 152pts
Treeman 285pts
TOTAL: 1999

Personally I would drop some Dryads and instead have a unit of 6 wardancers with a bladesinger and musician and a unit of 5 with a musician for the noble to run with.

Well, you will want at least 2 Scrolls if you are only running 1 Mage and there will be no point at all in him being Lvl2.
You are better off with 2 smaller units of Dancers.
There is no real reason for the Horn on that Wardancer Noble, he is already ITP as is any Wardancer.
Again cut the Dryad unit size. Should be a decent list with a few ammendments.

It seems ok to me, I would be tempted to drop some of those Champions though on the Bows.
I'd also consider Wild Rathers rather than Glade Riders. What role do you intend for them? rank breakers by charging flanks? or baiters/fleeing? If its the former, than take Wild Riders instead.

The riders are the bait for my treeman.
The Musicians I was told were a must, just to give them a chance. The lords bowman was to fill u the extra 6 points.

Yeah, the Musicians are vital. Fair enough then on the Riders. The list is nicely balanced.

Also, think money and availability for now, he just started welfs, so he doesn't yet have all of the units and such. Personally, I think glade guard are the best unit in existance, after that, Glade Riders seem almost useless, other than for bait. Their light cavalry rules make them awesome for the task.

Very much so.
I have the Battalion on order, just bought my treeman, Have 6 waywatchers on order, and I'm buying 2 wardancers + 3 Glade riders + the 15 eternal guard from a friend.
After that, well my wargaming collecting, will have to stop as i now have a few little debts and one big one to pay off.

Nice. I'm sure that most people would let you proxy EG as wardancers though, if you ask nicely. College debts yet?
