This is the latest incarnation of my Wood Elves, Ive dropped the Dragon and Treeman and instead gone for a magical vortex that should hopefully shut down most magic phases;

Alter Noble; 158 Points Hail of Doom Arrow, Helm of the Hunt, Great Weapon, Light Armour, Shield.
Spellsinger; 175 Points Lvl2 Scroll, Divination Orb.
Branchwraith; 165 Nestlings, Radiants, Lvl1.

10Glade Guard; 120 Points
10 Glade Guard; 120 Points
8 Dryads; 96
Core Total - 336
6 Wild Riders; 192 Points Standard, Champion.
7 Wardancers; 147 Points Bladesinger, Musician.
7 Wardancers; 147 Points Musician, Singer.
4 Warhawks; 160
Special Total - 646

I just have to make those Dryads and Wild Riders now for the army to be complete.

I feel its my turn to repay your wood elf advice. I'm guessing the reason you want you branchwraith is to run it with your dryads, and that you want those 8 to run with it. If you want something to run with them like that, I would just upgrade your Spellweaver to a Glamourweave kindred. Also, in a 2000 battle, I don't think 8 dryads will do anything. if you drop your branchwraith, you could buy more, or you could just drop those 8 for something more.
If anything, at the very least I would drop the 1st level spell caster from the Branchwraith and use that to get 4 more dryads.

The Branchwraith is mostly for 2 extra Dispel Dice and Character holding with needing 6 to hit it in challenges. Without the Branchwraith I only have 5DD.

The branchwraith seems tooled to fight enemy leaders, which seems like the lvl 1 bit isn't bery wise. If you get rid of that and add 4 more dryads, you would be at 2000 points exactly with 6 DD, rather than 7 if it was a character. Set up that way it should be able to hurt your opponents pretty badly. And is it just me is or WE magic a bit weak?

It isn't meant for offensive magic, I dont like the WE offensive magic either. The level 1 provides an extra Dispel Dice though. With the Branchwraith the Dryads are 9 Strong, at most I can fit 7 in combat in the vast majority of cases. The extra models won't provide me with any extra combat Res or hitting power. It gives albative wounds, but at T4, Skirmishing and 5+ Ward, you would hope they dont need it. Not as much as you need an extra Dispel Dice anyway.
