The entity known as the Shipwraith has plagued the oceans south of Evadia for countless generations, and has attacked Evadia and the Border Princes on many occasions. However, his attacks are by no means limited to these regions, and his undead fleet has been seen everywhere from the frozen north to the kingdoms of Lustria. The battles between the Shipwraith and Luthor Harkon are both legendary and violent, as neither is willing to share power over their minions or the waters of the world.
The Shipwraith has a strong hatred of the Cult of Mordyn, whose warriors have faced him and thwarted him on numerous occasions. However, despite many attempts by the Cult and others to destroy the Shipwraith, this undead menace still exists, haunting the coast with his unholy fleet.
The Shipwraith may be taken as a Lord choice for a Vampire Coast army. He must be the army General, and Luthor Harkon cannot be included in the same army.
Cost: 190pts
Weapons: Two-handed scythe (Great Weapon).
Magic: The Shipwraith is a Level 2 Wizard. He uses the Lore of Necromancy (see Vampire Counts).
Shipwraith army alterations:
In order to represent the forces of the Shipwraith, the following modifications are made to the army:
Invocation of Nehek:
The Invocation of Nehek works slightly differently in the Shipwraith's army. You may raise Zombie Deckhands in the same way as Zombies, or Zombie Gunners in the same way as Skeletons. Note that you cannot raise normal Zombie units, or Skeletons.
If you raise a new Zombie Gunnery Mob, they may be armed with either Handguns, or a Brace of Pistols. Calculate the Victory Points immediately for the new unit as normal.
