Captain Sarrasson was a promising young warrior born in southern Evadia. He earned his Colours at a young age, and sought adventure across the ocean, along with a large party of adventurers. They travelled to the lands of Lustria, where disaster struck. Sarrasson, and over two dozen others, stumbled across a forgotten temple. As they entered, the temple sealed itself, and began to fill with a toxic gas. Sarrasson, running panicked through the temple, stumbled across a banner. Trapped in the chamber, Sarrasson expected death, but it seemed the Banner absorbed the poison, protecting him. Carrying the enchanted standard, Sarrasson found the other survivors and led them to safety.
Sinse then, Sarrasson has carried the banner for years, until he founded a regiment of his own, and the Serpent Guard were born.
