Ok. you need more mages. You should run at least 2 mages, and perhaps another glade guardian with hail of doom arrow. Give your lords mounts.
Replace your glade guard with glade riders.
Split your archers into groups of 5 for the purpose of baiting.

Ok. you need more mages. You should run at least 2 mages Why? Most games that I play I use two 2nd Level mages... this army has one 4th Level mage, giving 90% identical results in terms of magical output. I see no need for either. I do not want a character-heavy army, nor do I want cavalry. If I did, I'd use Empire or Dogs of War. See above. Spearmen are, I find, much more useful for this army. Something to consider certainly... although our club tends to give both players at least one hill in their deployment zone (normally 2), so 10-man squads are worth it. Plus, as I learnt, that extra rank can really matter if you are charged (I killed a Giant through combat resolution with one of those Archer squads!)

So do I., its just if your lvl 4 mage dies (miscast, charged by cav, shot by artilliry...etc) its a large chunk of points gone, and it may not have made its points back. Thats just me...I cant see why yours wouldnt work
Ok. If you take my advise you could have a forest lord with 2 of the following three: HoDA and BoL or HS and then two mages. Ok. WE are a shooty army. Yes. But there greatest strength is there ability to move. Charge wear its needed, flee from combat. So you can maximise the amount of damage you do with minimal casualties. So mounts for characters are quite important. I like to put mine on Eagles, so they can flee and shoot to what ever they want without being bogged down in combat.
I can see your point. I like the unit allot and I understand the tactical advantages. So good luck with that.
If you wanna try something for me that ive never had the guts to do. Run a Forest Dragon in your army. cheese!
